Ooievaarspas-holders can get a 50% discount on their contribution. Youth members until 18 years of age can even get 100% off. A maximum reimbursement of €165 applies to members aged 18 years and older. To get your discount, our treasurer needs to scan your Ooievaarspas. The reference date for setting the contribution will be the member’s age on October 1st a year from now. The discount will be deducted according to the regulations set by the municipality The Hague.
Students who’d like to apply for the reduced student rate have to send at the beginning of every season a valid copy of their student card or proof of registration to the Member Administration at ledenadmin@sovicos.nl.
In accordance with Article 7 of the Internal Regulations and Article 10, paragraph 2 of the Statutes, each member is liable to pay membership fees for the entire season. If the full annual contribution is paid before 1 November of the current club year, a discount is applied. This discount is determined annually at the General Members’ Meeting. The discounts for the 2025-2026 season were decided on 25 September and can be found in the tables above.
Direct debit
The full membership fee is collected each season by direct debit. The collection period follows the payment terms stated in the Internal Regulations (Article 7).
In case of late payment of the membership fee, a fine may be imposed of €12 per month (up to January 1) and €7 per month (after January 1). If the membership fee remains unpaid, a collection agency and/or bailiff may be engaged. Any resulting costs will be charged to the defaulter.
