Ooievaarspas-holders can get a 50% discount on their contribution. Youth members until 18 years of age can even get 100% off. A maximum reimbursement of €165 applies to members aged 18 years and older. To get your discount, our treasurer needs to scan your Ooievaarspas. The reference date for setting the contribution will be the member’s age on October 1st a year from now. The discount will be deducted according to the regulations set by the municipality The Hague.

Students who’d like to apply for the reduced student rate have to send at the beginning of every season a valid copy of their student card or proof of registration to the Member Administration at ledenadmin@sovicos.nl.

In accordance with Article 7 of the Internal Regulations and Article 10, paragraph 2 of the Statutes, each member is liable to pay membership fees for the entire season. If the full annual contribution is paid before 1 November of the current club year, a discount is applied. This discount is determined annually at the General Members’ Meeting. The discounts for the 2023-2024 season were decided on 28 September and can be found in the tables above.

Payment of membership fees can be made only by direct debit (preferred).

Direct debit (our preference)

A member has the choice of payment by direct debit in 1 or 2 installments:

• 1 installment: the entire contribution (100%) will be collected on October 28th, 2023
  • *If a member chooses to do so, the previously mentioned discount will be applied if paid before 1 November of the current club year
    
• 2 installments: the contribution will be split and collected on October 28th, 2023 (50%) and on January 31st, 2024 (50%)

We have chosen the above-mentioned installments to ensure the entirety of the contribution has been paid before the end of the competition. This allows us to contact members who haven’t paid yet before the end of the season. The installments are also conform the payment terms mentioned in the House Rules, article 7. Should direct debit collection not be possible during the season, the discount might be revoked.

In the case of a missed payment deadline, a fine of €12,00 per January 1st + €7,00 for each month after can be added to your contribution. Sovicos might also use the services of a collection agency or debt collector, whose costs are also for the defaulter.
