Become Our New Secretary!
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Secretary to join our board from the next season. As Secretary, you play a crucial role in the functioning of our association and contribute to the maintenance and growth of our community.
What will you do?
As Secretary, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks:
- You play a key role in convening and organizing the general meeting once per season, ensuring a structured process.
- You collaborate with other board members to implement and uphold the established association policies.
- You ensure the association meets all legal obligations, including taking minutes, managing administration, and representing the association externally.
- You manage the agenda, monitor deadlines, keep the Chamber of Commerce registration up-to-date, and handle association correspondence.
- You act as an information provider within the association, keeping all board members informed of administrative developments.
- You work with the Membership Administrator and manage the email address informatie@sovicos.nl, where potential members can ask questions.
- And as the icing on the cake, you also lead the editorial team.
The time commitment for this role is approximately 6 hours per week, with a Board meeting every 6 weeks on a Thursday evening (approximately 2.5 hours).

For this position, you will receive a volunteer allowance of €200 per season and also earn 20 SoviScore points for your team.
Join the Youth Technical Committee (JTC)
As a member of the Youth Technical Committee (JTC), you are responsible for technically guiding youth players and teams, with the goal of enabling them to play at an appropriate level and develop within the sport of volleyball.
What will you do?
As a JTC member, you will work on the following:
- Collaborating with other JTC members and the Board Member for Youth Affairs on youth classifications.
- Serving as a point of contact for trainers, leaders, and parents.
- Coordinating the composition of youth teams.
- Planning and leading parent meetings.
- Representing the JTC at club activities where this is valuable.
- Preparing the A-youth for a smooth transition to the seniors with the SoviCademy.
We are looking for…
An enthusiastic and committed volleyball enthusiast who wants to contribute to the development of our youth members. You have an affinity for guiding and coaching young athletes. You are communicatively strong, organizationally skilled, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Additionally, you are willing to commit to the association for a longer period and are available for meetings and/or consultation moments at least once every six weeks.
What do we offer?
A challenging role within our association, where you make a significant contribution to the sporting development of our youth members. You will be part of an enthusiastic and committed team and have the opportunity to further develop yourself in the areas of technical policy and coaching. We also provide the necessary support and guidance to successfully perform your role as a JTC member. And last but not least, a remuneration of €100 per season.

Member of the Sponsorship Committee
Since September 2022, we have a new Sponsorship Plan 2022-2026, written by Matthijs in collaboration with SponsorVisie and the Board. To further implement this plan, we are looking for enthusiastic members who want to assist Matthijs in this effort.
In terms of time, it doesn’t require much effort. You can do everything from your PC and occasionally visit the sponsor or have the sponsor come to the club.

Trainers wanted!
We are still looking for coaches/trainers for several senior teams and some youth teams. You should be available once a week to give training and preferably also available for coaching. Volleyball knowledge is a requirement, but above all, we are looking for energy and motivation. And if you’re interested but have never done it before, we can help you get started. Let us know, we have enough experienced trainers who can help you out.
We are also looking for coaches for our youth teams. Would you like to give training to a youth team? Then please sign up by sending an email to the Youth TC. Coaching our youth teams is also very important.
Would you like to contribute as a trainer and/or coach for Sovicos? Let us know! You can also do this as a duo job with someone else.
