Code Orange: competition-free weekend during start of Volleyball World Cup

The Nevobo is still busy with the preparations for the new season and will announce the new groupings in July, after which the draft match schedule will follow. The federation has already decided not to schedule any matches for the weekend of 23, 24 and 25 September. That weekend the Volleybaldames open the World Championships in their own country. The association wants to give as many volleyball fans as possible the opportunity to be there.

On Friday 23 September, the Dutch Volleyball Women’s Team opens the World Championship with a match against Kenya in the GelreDome in Arnhem. On Sunday 25 September they will then take on Cameroon. To get as many volleyball fans in the stands as possible, the association has decided to keep this weekend free of competition. (text continues below the photo)

In the weeks thereafter, the association also offers the possibility of rescheduling matches in consultation with the opponent. Find out exactly how this works and what the possibilities are here!
