The first beach volleyball players have joined the ‘open practice’

Last Tuesday was the first ‘open practice,’ marking the start of the indoor beach volleyball season! These open practices are designed to get an idea of everyone’s skill level so that balanced groups can be formed. New beach volleyball players can also try out whether playing in the sand is something for them. The second open practice will take place next week, after which the final groups will be formed.

The first open practice was a great success! For some, it took a little getting used to, moving from outdoor beach volleyball back to the indoor court. What stood out most was the high energy level everyone brought with them. Some players were clearly inspired by the recent Olympic Games. There were already some impressive rallies played, and the coaches had prepared challenging exercises. This promises a lot for the beach volleyball season.

During the practice, close attention was paid to the players, and next week, we will also observe how well the players work together. We’re excited!

We hope to see the ‘beachers’ again next week at the second open practice!
