The new season is almost here! Team allocations have been emailed, the first training sessions have taken place, and in just a few weeks, the first matches will be played. It’s shaping up to be an exciting volleyball season!
But… as with every season, there are some changes ahead. Unfortunately, we will soon be saying goodbye to two board members: Ronald, our chairman, and Lieke, board member for youth affairs. We want to sincerely thank them for their dedication over the past years – they’ve been amazing!
This also means that two positions are opening up on our board, and that’s where you come in!
Do you want to contribute to the club, have some extra time over the next two years, and help keep Sovicos thriving? Then consider applying to be Chairman or Board Member for Youth Affairs.
What’s involved?
- Chairman: You will lead board meetings, oversee the club’s activities, and represent Sovicos externally.
- Board Member for Youth Affairs: You will ensure smooth running of youth activities, support committees, and help our youngest members have a fantastic time playing volleyball.
We meet approximately every six weeks, always with a little treat, and we make sure the work is manageable alongside your own schedule. Board members also receive a financial allowance for their time and effort.
In short: a unique opportunity to help build the club, meet new people, and make a real difference.
