Last Saturday at 2:00 PM, it was time: the Sovicos volunteer day began, and with over 30 attendees, the turnout was great. The sun was shining beautifully as Merel, Camilo, and Chris welcomed us.
The day started with a hexathlon full of fun games, from dodgeball to obstacle courses and from tug-of-war to beach volleyball. There was fierce competition! Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious barbecue, provided by Camilo and Chris, who ensured we had wonderful food.
Pit and Milene captured the day with great photos (see below), and Milene gave a speech to thank all the volunteers. Of course, there were many rounds of beach volleyball, lots of toasting, and catching up in between. A nice souvenir was also handed out.
