It has become an annual tradition; the Sovicos Starting Tournament! This tournament is organised to prepare for the new competition season that will start one week later. An ideal moment for participating teams to see where they are! In 2022 the tournament will take place on Saturday the 10th of September in Sports Hall Steenwijklaan.
The exact details of the tournament and the schedule are still under consideration. What is certain is that Gents 1 and Ladies 1 will have the opportunity to play a 3- or 4-team competition. So there is still room for the other teams, as well as the youth teams and the sitting volleyball group, to join in! The starting point is that it will be a tournament for the entire club.
Volunteers wanted
To make the tournament a success we are looking for volunteers. You can sign up for a bar service or to act as a referee. Would you like to help behind the bar on Saturday 10 September? Send an email to the editorial staff. Would you like to be a referee? Then report to Rob. Can we make it a successful tournament together?
Participants wanted
For the 3- or 4-competition of Gents 1 and Ladies 1 we are still looking for participating teams. Gents 1 ended last season 2nd in the Promotion Class and is next season’s fighter for promotion to the third division and is therefore looking for teams of similar level: top-promotion class or third division. Ladies 1 finished 3rd in the 1st Class last season and will be aiming hard for promotion to the Promotion Class next season.
