Winter weather can be beautiful — snow, winter fun — but it can also make travelling more difficult and unsafe. That is why the Nevobo has clear guidelines on how to deal with matches in winter conditions.
Here’s what you need to know:
- ✔️ Code yellow (KNMI warning): Teams may decide not to play a match if travelling feels irresponsible.
- ✔️ Code orange: The same applies to orange — make an informed decision based on safety.
- ✔️ Code red / traffic alert: In the event of official alerts, matches will be cancelled centrally by NEVOBO; clubs do not have to decide for themselves.
How do you report a cancellation?
Communicate with your opponent and officials in good time, confirm the cancellation with NEVOBO and plan a new date together within six weeks.
👉 Safety always comes first — do not take unnecessary risks in winter conditions.
